Healthcare facilities are highly regulated, technically complex, and require careful attention to detail in order to establish resilient infrastructure that safeguards human life.  Engineering solutions for healthcare facilities require an understanding of aspects such as code compliance, regulatory requirements, essential electrical systems, and emergency backup systems that are needed to support the diverse facility loads that allow a hospital to fulfill its mission.

Electrical power systems in a healthcare facility are of utmost importance and have varying industry-specific requirements for effective patient care. Life safety systems such as egress lighting, alarm and alerting systems, emergency communication, elevator signal controls, and specific emergency receptacles must be on entirely dedicated circuits and raceway systems with non-delayed emergency backup power. Critical branch systems such as patient care, medical preparation areas, nurse call systems, intensive care areas, treatment laboratories, and blood banks must be able to transfer to the emergency backup power source within 10 seconds. In concurrence with these strict guidelines, we develop reliable electrical solutions to support planning, design, analysis, startup, commissioning, and testing to ensure that a hospital can successfully fulfill its mission.
