Electrical Engineer

 This position will offer you the opportunity to utilize and expand your experience and knowledge in electrical engineering – in other words, how to become a true problem solver in the electrical industry. The qualified candidate should have a working knowledge in power systems including medium and low voltage distribution, AC/DC schematics, generation systems, substations, switchgear, motor controls, and VFDs. Candidate must also have good written and verbal communication skills, including interaction with clients.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Working on project teams with other engineers in the design, integration, startup, and commissioning of electrical systems.

  • Undertaking challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving complex power system issues.

  • Developing hands-on, customized integration solutions for automation controls, power system protection controls, motor controls, and SCADA systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of NEC, NFPA 70E, and applicable UL/ANSI standards

  • Understanding of practical electrical engineering aspects as it applies to developing technical plans, designs, shop drawings, and power system studies.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.
